Pickup Game - Process:
From Sketch to Screen
This short began as an invitation from Craftology to participate in the closed beta of their AI filmmaking platform. I wanted to explore the technology from the perspective of a professional animation director and see how it could fit into a real storytelling pipeline.
I start by writing the script, then move onto thumbnail sketching and storyboarding to shape the narrative, pacing, and visual language of the film. From there, exploring the character design, visual development, and cinematic keyframes goes next, to establish the project's look and emotional tone.
Once the creative foundation is in place, only then, I leverage modern AI-powered production tools to assist the animation phase while maintaining the artistic direction, consistency, and creative control throughout the entire process.
